About Us
Is Pacific Hyperbarics a wellness spa?
No — we are a clinical hyperbaric facility. Our chambers are medical-grade hard chambers, every session is supervised by trained clinical staff, and treatment is co-managed with your physician. We focus on evidence-based care, and patients also benefit from HBOT's recognized recovery and wellness effects.
Insurance
Does insurance cover HBOT?
Yes — Medicare and most insurance plans cover HBOT for approved conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers, radiation tissue injury, chronic osteomyelitis, and compromised grafts. We verify your benefits before your first visit at no cost.
Physicians
How do I refer a patient?
Physicians can use our online referral form, or fax referrals to (949) 544-1544. We handle benefits verification, send routine progress updates, and return patients to your care on completion. HBO codes: G0277 / C1300.
Treatment
What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)?
HBOT is a medical treatment in which you breathe 100% oxygen inside a pressurized chamber (typically 2.0–2.4 ATA). The pressure dissolves oxygen directly into your blood plasma, delivering it to tissue that isn't getting enough — which accelerates healing, fights infection, and stimulates new blood-vessel growth.
What happens during a session?
You rest comfortably inside a transparent acrylic chamber for about 90 minutes while breathing 100% oxygen. You can sleep, listen to music, or watch a show. A trained technician monitors you continuously, and you can communicate at any time.
How many treatments will I need?
A typical course for approved conditions is 30–40 sessions, usually one per weekday. Your exact protocol is set with your referring physician and reviewed as you progress.
Is HBOT safe?
HBOT has decades of clinical history and an excellent safety profile when delivered in medical-grade chambers under clinical supervision. The most common side effect is mild ear pressure, similar to a flight — our staff teach you simple techniques to equalize comfortably.
